Instant Pot Country Style Ribs make a quick and easy weeknight dinner!

Yes, you guys!  Back in action with the Instant Pot!

After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.

We’re also back in action with back to school.

I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.

I’m in the “not” category this year.  Summer just went by way too fast!

Can they just go back in October or something?  Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.

It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.

Right??  Right.

instant pot ribs

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.

I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!

I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.

Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!

Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out.  Mine were bone out.  But, either one will work just fine!

I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.

Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!

The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.

You slather the dry rub on.  Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot.  Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce.  Then, let it do it’s thing!

These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

Seriously the best rib recipe!!! Country style are our favorite. I normally do these in the oven for 2+ hours. But that isn’t gonna happen during peak summer temps! This recipe is my go to rib recipe. I’ve done bone, in, boneless, partially frozen, it all works.

I followed the recipe except I used 5 1/2 pounds of meat and doubled the rub. I still used 1/2 cup bbq sauce and 3/4 cup broth. They were the best ribs ever. I will use the InstaPot and this recipe from now on. I still can’t believe how good they turned out! Amazing, and very easy!

  3. Someone else asked this as well, but I didn’t see an answer. Did you cook these from frozen? And if not, how much more time would you add for frozen ribs?

    1. Kim, you don’t need to add more time for frozen. They thaw, and start cooking, as pot builds pressure. Just takes a little longer to come to pressure.

    2. From my my understanding, cook time is the same for frozen or fresh. The difference is that if the meat is frozen, it will take extra me to get to the point of pressure. but, I’m not an expert!

  4. Hi. I happen to have just one pound of country ribs. Should I lessen the cook time to like 25-30 min instead?

Had to change our dinner plans last minute. I had some country ribs in the freeze, so instant pot to the rescue. Except I had to make some changes. I didn’t have any broth, so instead I used water and some liquid smoke. I was also a tad short on bbq, so instead I spritzed on some Worcestershire sauce, then cooked as directed and used the bbq on the side. They came out amazing and my kids gobbled them up. Only thing I recommend doing different is maybe double the rub and let it sit for a few hours before cooking. Looking forward to trying this recipe again as written.

    1. Hey, sorry I’m not sure, I haven’t tried it that way! If you do, let us know how it goes 🙂

    2. Yes…I dont use bbq sauce when I make mine. I follow her recipe except for that and then add the sauce when done and put in oven for a few minutes at high heat. I do add a little liquid smoke in instapot though for the flavor that might be missing bc I dont cook in sauce.
