Instant Pot Country Style Ribs make a quick and easy weeknight dinner!

Yes, you guys!  Back in action with the Instant Pot!

After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.

We’re also back in action with back to school.

I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.

I’m in the “not” category this year.  Summer just went by way too fast!

Can they just go back in October or something?  Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.

It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.

Right??  Right.

instant pot ribs

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.

I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!

I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.

Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!

Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out.  Mine were bone out.  But, either one will work just fine!

I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.

Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!

The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.

You slather the dry rub on.  Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot.  Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce.  Then, let it do it’s thing!

These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

  1. I came across this recipe and based on the reviews I decided to try it. I usually cook French or Italian dishes all from scratch on a regular basis. I have tried a few pulled pork recipies since the family loves their occasional BBQ, but many recipes came up short – too much vinegar for our taste.HOWEVER, this recipe tasted very close to the BBQ restaurant we like. Actually it tasted even better. Not a piece was left :). I used a Hawaiian BBQ sauce I think by Heinz. My kids like a smokey – sweet taste. Next time I might try a mustard BBQ sauce. The great part is that I believe if your half cup sauce that you cook with is mild, like Haiwain BBQ sauce I used, then you could potentially plate the meat and let everyone use their own favorite sauce like at a BBQ restaurant on top of the meat once they take their portion. Thank you for a great recipe!

Ok I never comment on stuff but this calls for it. I just made these for like the 50th time – this is one of our absolute favorite recipes! In fact it’s probably my husband’s favorite thing we make, and that says a lot because he’s not generally excited about food (I know, I don’t get it either). We usually 1.5-2x the seasoning, because we like it extra seasony. But it’s PERFECT! Thank you for the recipe!

This is the best pork I’ve ever had. I love spicy bbq meat. So tender. It’s easy and I’ve made with chops too. My family loves putting the extra juice on. Way to go Nichole!

Thanks so much for the recipe! Made this last evening and Harvey and I both enjoyed it. Had just under 3 pounds of country style ribs and used a *lot* more rub than specified above – probably at least 4 times as much. Added some adobo and paprika as well as some leftover pork rub I had made the last time I did slabs. 45 minutes at pressure might have been just a little too long; I thought the meat was a little dry but Harvey thought it was great. Put only a little BBQ sauce (<¼ cup) in the pot (the NuWave clone of the IP). Plated it with sauce on the side, green beans, apple sauce and homemade bread. Great meal. And the leftovers were excellent, too!

Fast, easy, delicious! Only thing I did was put them on a baking sheet after the Instant Pot, add some bbq sauce, and put them under a broiler for a few minutes to caramelize the sauce.

    1. I did. Then I set them aside. After the ribs were done I put them in a baking dish, spread the onions on top with bbq sauce and broiled them for ten minutes.

I used the instant pot duo 6 qt. I also substituted the beef broth for water. It took about 34 minutes for the natural release.
