This week these bars have been a lifesaver in the form of something to do with the kids!

They love making these.  I love that it keeps us inside, in the air conditioning.

The beauty here is that you can use any candy your heart desires!

We always have chocolate chips around, so that’s what we went with for this post.

They’re really, really, beyond good with butterscotch chips, M&M’s, chopped Butterfinger candy bars. You name it!

You know how much I love Butterscotch if you’ve checked out my Butterscotch chip cookies.  The flavor that always gets my seal of approval first!

I’ve made these twice now, and both times the batch has lasted less than a day in the house. This time we’re going around and handing these out to family for mother’s day. What a great recipe to help brighten people’s days! Hope you all are keeping safe and healthy!

I made these using gluten-free cake mix( Krusteaz brand) and added 1 extra egg and an extra 1/4 c of oil, baking them for 23 minutes. They turned out great! I’m definitely going to make these again!

  4. I have made these like 4 or 5 times. THEY.ARE.THE.BEST!!! My son says they’re better than the regular drop kind of chocolate chip cookies. You would never know these are from a box cake mix.
