RAMEN NOODLES:

YES, more fun homemade ramen noodles!  Or, maybe we should call them semi-homemade since they are packaged noodles.  But, the sauce is what it’s all about anyway.  Ever since I made my Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles, you guys have been raving and asking for more.  In December we put up another fun and super tasty Garlic Parmesan Ramen Noodles Recipe. But, so far, these Thai Peanut Ramen might just be my personal favorite!

How To Make Thai Peanut Ramen Noodles:

  • Start by cooking your noodles according to the package directions.  DO NOT use the seasoning packet that comes with the noodles.  Toss it out, you won’t need it for this recipe.
  • While the noodles are cooking you will whisk together your super simple sauce.  You don’t even need to warm the sauce up for this recipe.

  • The sauce consists of creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, chili sauce, sesame oil, and a bit of honey.  You will whisk it until it is as smooth as you can get it.  If there are a few lumps of peanut butter, that’s ok. The sauce kind of melts and thins out once you put it on the hot noodles.

  • Once your noodles have finished cooking, drain them well and toss with the peanut sauce.  You will want to add the ramen to the sauce right away while they are hot to ensure the sauce coats the noodles.  I find it easiest to toss them with tongs.
  • You can serve as is, or top with sliced green onions and crushed peanuts if desired!
  • NOTE:  These noodles are generally best eaten the same day.  I don’t recommend reheating them, however, they are good cold.

I made this recipe today exactly per your directions. It was absolutely wonderful! Easy & so…tasty. I think I will add some shredded white chicken & any veggies I have on hand next time.
Loved it! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Is there a reason why you shouldn’t reheat the noodles? I am all about the leftovers, would it work better if I added the sauce after the noodles were reheated?

    1. You can reheat them, ramen style noodles just don’t hold up as well when they’re reheated, but it will still taste ok 🙂

This was great! I ran into some issues with thickness which probably had more to do with me scaling the recipe down for one pack of noodles. I think next time I won’t drain the noodles quite so well and I’ll back off on the peanut butter — I used a HEAPING tablespoon. In addition I had no sugar or honey so used a packet of Splenda which was adequate. There wasn’t any funky aftertaste because of it.

Oh my! I followed recipe but did not have Chile Garlic Sauce. I used Sambal (a scant amount!) and garlic powder.
I loved it! I thought it was easy peasy and a quick meal.

I doubled the sauce but also sauteed cut up boneless skinless chicken thighs! i didn’t have low sodium soy sauce…dang it so i added little more honey and chili sauce and i used crunchy peanut butter! it’s amazing!

  6. Followed recipe but sauce tasted too much like peanut butter. Have not had this dish before so not sure if this is expected. Does the type of peanut butter make a difference? Thank you. Diane

    1. Hi! I’m not sure if the type would make a difference. It might just be preference, it would be just fine for you to decrease the amount of peanut butter and the recipe will still work fine 🙂

  7. I liked the taste, added fresh peppers too. The only thing was I think it should have been rinsed as came out a bit gummy and not as individual looking. Will try that next time.

It’s the real deal. I roughly devided your recipe by 3 so I could make just one serving. Took about 3 min, I have all the ingredients on hand (thank you H Mart)
Another short-cut, if you have an electric kettle. Just pour boiling water over the pasta, and cover your bowl. By the time you mix the sauce the ramen will be done. Just drain and mix I need the sauce. Perfect!!
