Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles is the best ramen noodle recipe made easy at home with a simple and super flavorful sauce! Make ramen at home even better!
I grew up eating ramen noodles boiled right along with that super salty packet of seasoning, probably like most of us did! As we get older, and realize we probably don’t need ALL that sodium, but we do need flavor and quick, budget-friendly recipes, we start wondering what else can I do what that packet of crunchy noodles?! While we’re at it, this Miso Ramen is absolutely out of this world and we also love this tasty Veggie Beef Ramen too!
Ramen Noodles:
Packets of ramen are actually super versatile because they simply don’t taste like much on their own! Ditch the spice packet that comes with the noodles. When you use it, it kinda feels like eating salt water, because you basically are! My Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite ramen “hacks” because I can still take a product that is super duper easy on my budget, impossibly quick to make, and turn it into something amazing! The sauce for this recipe is full of garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and soy sauce! Seriously good flavor here, and the sauce only takes 3-5 minutes to make, so it will be done at the same time your noodles are! This recipe has become one of our most popular! If you love it be sure to try this Thai Peanut Ramen Noodles Recipe too as well as our Beef and Broccoli Ramen Soup!
How do you Make Ramen Better?
Simple! Like we talked about above, ditch the spice/salt packet that comes with the noodles and make your own sauce! The ingredients for this recipe are sesame oil, packaged ramen noodles, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. The sriracha can be added to your own taste.
You will start by cooking your noodles according to package directions. While they are cooking simply heat your sesame oil in a medium skillet and saute the garlic for one minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients. Then, drain your ramen and toss them in the sauce!
You can then eat these noodles as are or taste them and see if you’d like more spice. If so, add a bit more sriracha until desired heat is reached. I happen to love sesame oil so I often drizzle more over the prepared noodles. Top these with chopped green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds!
Enjoy!

Is there anything to su statue sesame oil?
Made a half batch of this tonight. Used less soy sauce and it was wonderful. I adore sesame oil! Next time will add chicken!
Very flavorful! But over 1700 mg salt! Way too sally for us. I’m going to have to try something less salty!
Just found this recipe and going to make it this weekend. I might even add a few pieces of chicken (stir fried) to add a little more protein.
This was great! I didn’t have Sriracha and was too lazy to go to the store, so I just used red chile pepper seasoning. It had a good spice to it. Easy and delicious. Thank you!
I just made this for lunch and wow! Fabulous combination of flavours and textures. I added green beans which were lovely and add it up crunch. Thinking sliced almonds or sesame seeds would be nice too. Thanks for this wonderful easy recipe.
These flavors together sound amazing! I love the sweet heat from the sriracha!
This was a last minute dinner idea. It was really good. Im a wimp when it comes to spicy. This dish was tolerable by my standards, but may cut sriracha to 1 tablespoon next time. Fed 1 serving for 2 adults and 1 teenager. Served with an egg roll. Will add this to my collection of best made dinners.
Thanks for letting me know your family enjoyed this! 🙂
The recipe calls for 2 TSP of hot sauce, not 2 TB!
I am drooling. I can have noodles anytime of the day. Your recipe is so good. Pinned.
I just love recipes that use packages of ramen noodles. It could be prepared in so many creative ways!
