Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles is the best ramen noodle recipe made easy at home with a simple and super flavorful sauce! Make ramen at home even better!
I grew up eating ramen noodles boiled right along with that super salty packet of seasoning, probably like most of us did! As we get older, and realize we probably don’t need ALL that sodium, but we do need flavor and quick, budget-friendly recipes, we start wondering what else can I do what that packet of crunchy noodles?! While we’re at it, this Miso Ramen is absolutely out of this world and we also love this tasty Veggie Beef Ramen too!
Ramen Noodles:
Packets of ramen are actually super versatile because they simply don’t taste like much on their own! Ditch the spice packet that comes with the noodles. When you use it, it kinda feels like eating salt water, because you basically are! My Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite ramen “hacks” because I can still take a product that is super duper easy on my budget, impossibly quick to make, and turn it into something amazing! The sauce for this recipe is full of garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and soy sauce! Seriously good flavor here, and the sauce only takes 3-5 minutes to make, so it will be done at the same time your noodles are! This recipe has become one of our most popular! If you love it be sure to try this Thai Peanut Ramen Noodles Recipe too as well as our Beef and Broccoli Ramen Soup!
How do you Make Ramen Better?
Simple! Like we talked about above, ditch the spice/salt packet that comes with the noodles and make your own sauce! The ingredients for this recipe are sesame oil, packaged ramen noodles, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. The sriracha can be added to your own taste.
You will start by cooking your noodles according to package directions. While they are cooking simply heat your sesame oil in a medium skillet and saute the garlic for one minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients. Then, drain your ramen and toss them in the sauce!
You can then eat these noodles as are or taste them and see if you’d like more spice. If so, add a bit more sriracha until desired heat is reached. I happen to love sesame oil so I often drizzle more over the prepared noodles. Top these with chopped green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds!
Enjoy!

This recipe is right up my husbands alley. He loves ramen dishes and I love simple, easy, back pocket recipes. This is a win win.
Your recipe is perfect!! You’ve done the best thing for the ramen noodles that’s possible. Those salt packets are awful. We buy ramen noodles and make whatever we want. We don’t open those packets. I imagine a dump full of those foil packs. You’ve inspired me to get a few packets of ramen noodles next time I’m at the store.
this reminded me of my student days! I used to make something very similar at east couple of days in the week! Perfect, quick and delicious meal!
Yep, this is my kind of food. I am so making this and wish I could dive into that bowl right now! It looks so good!
So easy and satisfying! The perfect meal!
This is going on my list! I need more simple dinnertime ideas exactly like this one! Looks so yummy 🙂
I love the simplicity of this noodle dish. And my favorite is that you added siracha. Such a prevent color too. I love instant noodles.
Budget noodles! Every now and again I get a craving for instant noodles. They’re quick, easy, and taste great. I remember in university I put sesame oil in mine. Ahh memories.
Wow! This looks like a great meal for a tight budget! I love how you incorporated all the flavors to bring it to life!
Totally making this for lunch today. Can’t wait for noon to get here!
