Crockpot Red Velvet Hot Chocolate – This indulgent, rich and creamy hot chocolate is made easy in the crockpot! Red velvet hot chocolate is the perfect treat to warm you up this holiday season!
Well, we don’t officially have any snow on the ground yet. But, it’s damp, it’s cold and it’s time for some hot chocolate! Not just any old hot cocoa either. I’m talking homemade is all that will do. It’s super easy to make and knocks the packaged stuff out of the water!
My red velvet hot chocolate combines white and milk chocolate for a seriously heavenly combination! It’s so rich, so smooth, so perfectly cozy and warm.
I’m in love with the deep red color of this, and think it will be the perfect little treat to serve first thing on Christmas morning! The cool thing is, you can easily leave the food coloring out and just have this hot chocolate for any occasion you wish!
Let me tell you why I make hot chocolate in the slow cooker. I know that some people think it’s unnecessary, but it serves a purpose for me!
I like that you can make a small batch for four, or use a large crockpot and double or triple the recipe. The temperature is controlled on low, so I don’t have to constantly whisk or go over to the stove to check on anything!
I also love that it’s there, ready in about an hour, and then we can keep it on warm and go back for more throughout the cold/dreary day if we want!
Enjoy!

The hot chocolate was rich and delicious. It is my new go to recipe for a hot beverage.
This looks delish and I’m going to make it this week. However, I also loved the backround music, do you have the name of it please???

This is gorgeous! Love the color.
How fun is this for Christmas!
I haven’t tried making this in the crockpot, so without further recipe testing, it’s hard for me to give an accurate response. Sorry! If you do decide to try it in your slow cooker, let me know what you think! 🙂
