Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles is the best ramen noodle recipe made easy at home with a simple and super flavorful sauce! Make ramen at home even better!
I grew up eating ramen noodles boiled right along with that super salty packet of seasoning, probably like most of us did! As we get older, and realize we probably don't need ALL that sodium, but we do need flavor and quick, budget-friendly recipes, we start wondering what else can I do what that packet of crunchy noodles?! While we're at it, this Miso Ramen is absolutely out of this world and we also love this tasty Veggie Beef Ramen too!
Ramen Noodles:
Packets of ramen are actually super versatile because they simply don't taste like much on their own! Ditch the spice packet that comes with the noodles. When you use it, it kinda feels like eating salt water, because you basically are! My Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite ramen "hacks" because I can still take a product that is super duper easy on my budget, impossibly quick to make, and turn it into something amazing! The sauce for this recipe is full of garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and soy sauce! Seriously good flavor here, and the sauce only takes 3-5 minutes to make, so it will be done at the same time your noodles are! This recipe has become one of our most popular! If you love it be sure to try this Thai Peanut Ramen Noodles Recipe too as well as our Beef and Broccoli Ramen Soup!
How do you Make Ramen Better?
Simple! Like we talked about above, ditch the spice/salt packet that comes with the noodles and make your own sauce! The ingredients for this recipe are sesame oil, packaged ramen noodles, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. The sriracha can be added to your own taste.
You will start by cooking your noodles according to package directions. While they are cooking simply heat your sesame oil in a medium skillet and saute the garlic for one minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients. Then, drain your ramen and toss them in the sauce!
You can then eat these noodles as are or taste them and see if you'd like more spice. If so, add a bit more sriracha until desired heat is reached. I happen to love sesame oil so I often drizzle more over the prepared noodles. Top these with chopped green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds!
Enjoy!

Omg this recipe is amazing! So easy! My husband said it’s the best thing he has eaten in a long time. Thank you so much for the recipe! Will definitely make once a week in my house. So versatile.
This is definitely being put in my rotation for meals. I added some onion and carrot with the garlic. I also added some low sodium chicken broth after I mixed the soy sauce and brown sugar together. I like having a small amount of broth with the noodles. Not a fan of Siracha, so I added a dash of cayenne like another poster did.
This was so good I ate the whole recipe last night for dinner and made a half portion for breakfast today, these noodles are irresistibly delicious. Can’t wait to add some green onions and baby bok choy!
Yummy!!! Have made this recipe numerous times just as is.
Occasionally add cut up cooked thin pork chops for a complete meal. My husband loves it!

We added some beef, carrots and broccoli. Did 2x the sauce, marinated the beef in half for 30 minutes. After cooking beef and veggies, added the rest of the sauce and a spoonful of corn starch to thicken. So yummy and FAST! Everyone loved it!
Always a favorite at my home! We never make it the same because it’s so easy to add whatever meat/seafood/veggies we have on hand! Absolutely delicious
This recipe was sooooo good. Both me and my kids loved it. We added egg and some frozen veggies on top. Thank you so much for sharing this. It will be on rotation at our house.
My kids love this!
THANK YOU! This is delicious! I subbed honey instead brown sugar. To make it a meal, added snowpeas, red pepper, broccoli, carrots, kale and cabbage. Along with green onions and sesame seeds I squeezed fresh lime wedge onto each bowl. My husband, myself & 2/3 of my kiddos enjoyed it, WIN!
I'd also like to add I love your blog, many of your recipes too!
Added some rotisserie chicken and it was the perfect, quick dinner!!!
I used Yoshidas cooking sauce as a substitute for soy sauce. Best decision I’ve ever made, highly recommend.
