Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles is the best ramen noodle recipe made easy at home with a simple and super flavorful sauce! Make ramen at home even better!

I grew up eating ramen noodles boiled right along with that super salty packet of seasoning, probably like most of us did!  As we get older, and realize we probably don’t need ALL that sodium, but we do need flavor and quick, budget-friendly recipes, we start wondering what else can I do what that packet of crunchy noodles?!  While we’re at it, this Miso Ramen is absolutely out of this world and we also love this tasty Veggie Beef Ramen too!

Ramen Noodles:

Packets of ramen are actually super versatile because they simply don’t taste like much on their own!  Ditch the spice packet that comes with the noodles.  When you use it, it kinda feels like eating salt water, because you basically are!  My Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite ramen “hacks” because I can still take a product that is super duper easy on my budget, impossibly quick to make, and turn it into something amazing!  The sauce for this recipe is full of garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and soy sauce!  Seriously good flavor here, and the sauce only takes 3-5 minutes to make, so it will be done at the same time your noodles are!  This recipe has become one of our most popular!  If you love it be sure to try this Thai Peanut Ramen Noodles Recipe too as well as our Beef and Broccoli Ramen Soup!

How do you Make Ramen Better?

Simple!  Like we talked about above, ditch the spice/salt packet that comes with the noodles and make your own sauce!  The ingredients for this recipe are sesame oil, packaged ramen noodles, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha.  The sriracha can be added to your own taste.

You will start by cooking your noodles according to package directions.  While they are cooking simply heat your sesame oil in a medium skillet and saute the garlic for one minute.  Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients.  Then, drain your ramen and toss them in the sauce!

You can then eat these noodles as are or taste them and see if you’d like more spice.  If so, add a bit more sriracha until desired heat is reached.  I happen to love sesame oil so I often drizzle more over the prepared noodles.  Top these with chopped green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds!

I’m a professional cook, and even like this I run out of creativity lol this recipe was amazingly tasty and easy in less than 10 minutes I was done!!! I used 3 ramen packages instead of 2 added a bit more of everything also use a bit of ginger gave it an awesome xtra flavor, thanks for your recipe!

  2. Hello! Allergic to soy, I was thinking of coconut aminos instead. Anyone have a suggestion as to how much I should use?

    Thank you!

This is so good! It’s easy to make and everyone in the house loves it. I did reduce the sriracha to a 1/2 tsp because my 7 year old does not like spice.

I was pleasantly surprised this was fantastic! Fiancé loved it as well. The only thing I did differently was added a thumb of ginger, vegetables and chicken. Also, instead of using the sesame oil to heat the garlic, I used regular oil and mixed the sesame oil in with the rest of the sauce. Will be making more in the future.

SOOOO glad I was alone eating this because the uncontrollable sighs and “mmmmmmm” sounds were OBSCENE! ??

I will say that I only had full-salt soy sauce and 1/4 cup of that seemed suuuuuper salty so I did about 2 parts soy to 1 part water and added a dash more of brown sugar. Just a lil squirtlet of Siracha bc Im a wuss but I love the flavor! And because it’s just me, I have a little bit saved for left overs! YUMMMMM!!!

I took this recipe and marinated some steaks to go along with the ramen… Oh.My.Goodness. It was DELICIOUS. I did add more sriracha.
I’m writing this out for my 11 year old son who loves those horrendous ramen packets with the flavor packets.

    I also sautéd some mushrooms.
The whole meal was fantastic. Thank you!!!

  7. I also forgot how hot sesame oil gets, and my garlic got slightly burned almost immediately lol. Just something to watch for when making it yourself:)
