Loaded Avocado Dip always disappears fast at parties! Fresh avocados get mixed with cream cheese to make the best creamy, scoopable texture, and a mix of mouthwatering seasonings kick things into gear. Best of all is the bacon, cheese, and green onions that bring it all together!

Loaded Avocado Dip
I’ve got no shortage of party dips that I love. My favorites are our classic Guacamole Recipe and definitely Buffalo Chicken Dip! If you invite me over, trust that I’m going to bring a dip (or two) that’ll have you going back for more. This loaded avocado dip has been a staple of mine for more years than I care to admit! It’s creamy, fresh, and studded with the perfect amount of bacon, cheese, and green onions. The bold seasonings (ranch, chili powder, and smoked paprika) give it a depth that compliments the salty bacon perfectly. If I had to describe this quick and easy dip in a single word, it would be addictive! It’s not guacamole, nor is it your typical cheese dip… It’s something in the middle that’s unforgettably good.
Keep the party going with more dip recipes like rotel dip, pepperoncini dip, and fiesta ranch dip!
How to Make Loaded Avocado Dip
- Mix. Beat together the avocado, cream cheese, and seasonings until smooth.
- Add the final touches. Fold in the bacon, cheese, and green onions.

Storing Avocado Dip
Here’s the deal – avocado dip is best when eaten within 2-3 hours. Sadly, this is not a great make ahead recipe. Avocados tend to turn brown pretty quickly when exposed to air. However, if you do have leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 1-2 days. I’ve had the best luck when storing this dip in a bowl with plastic wrap pressed on top, so the least amount of air possible can touch the dip.
Ingredient Notes
- Avocados – Use soft, ripe avocados, so your dip is smooth instead of lumpy.
- Cream Cheese – It needs to be softened to room temperature so it blends in smoothly with the avocados. Feel free to use low-fat or regular.
- Ranch Dressing Mix – Make sure you’re using the powder and not ranch salad dressing!
- Chili Powder – This adds just enough of a kick to develop the flavors without making it spicy.
- Smoked Paprika – Of course, you can swap this with regular paprika if you’d like, but you’ll be missing out on a great smoky flavor that really makes the bacon pop even more.
- Bacon – I’ve found that the quickest way to cook and crumble some bacon for a recipe like this one is to make air fryer bacon. It takes minutes and always turns out so crispy!
- Shredded Cheddar – You can swap this with any other cheese you prefer. Pepper Jack would add a spicy element if you’d like.
- Green Onions – Be sure to reserve some for garnishing!

Enjoy!
