Instant Pot Country Style Ribs – These Instant Pot Country Style Ribs are so tender and flavorful! Â They start with a simple dry rub, are smothered in bbq sauce, and cooked up in your Instant Pot pressure cooker for a delicious and easy meal!
Yes, you guys! Â Back in action with the Instant Pot!
After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.
We’re also back in action with back to school.
I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.
I’m in the “not” category this year. Â Summer just went by way too fast!
Can they just go back in October or something? Â Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.
It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.
Right?? Â Right.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.
I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!
I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.
Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!
Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out. Â Mine were bone out. Â But, either one will work just fine!
I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.
Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!
The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.
You slather the dry rub on. Â Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot. Â Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce. Â Then, let it do it’s thing!
These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

Oh my. I included the trivet. Is this ok ?? It’s cooking now so I hope I didn’t just ruin this…first time making these! 3.5 lbs of boneless ribs, 45 minutes pressure high. Wish me luck!
I just purchased my Instant Pot today and this is the first thing we tried!! Wow! So easy, and oh so good!!! Thank you! I will be following you for more great recipes for sure!
Hello,! I am going to try this recipe this week. I just did the water test and it will be my first instant pot meal. I was wondering if you have used liquid smoke at all? I have seen some recipes that use it but your recipe looks the most appealing so I was curious if I could try adding the liquid smoke to it and if so how much. Thank you!
I wouldn’t add it until you try this recipe. These are my favorite just the way they are.
Just wondering if you put the ribs directly into the beef broth, or do you use the trivet?
I do not use the trivet
Thanks! Made these tonight and they were excellent! Soooooooo tender! And easy enough to make often!
I made these tonight, followed recipe exactly, and ribs were very dry. The only thing I changed was the release–I used quick release after 15 minutes of natural release time. The ribs were awful! I saw one comment that said cook for 30 minutes. If I decide to try again, I’ll try 30 minutes. Tonight’s ribs were nearly inedible. Sawdust dry. Wish I knew why.
Hi! I’m sorry to hear that these turned out dry for you. I can assure you that these ribs were made 3 times as stated in the recipe card before posting to ensure the recipe was correct. I would say to try increasing your liquid by 1 cup, or shortening the cooking time a tad, and see if that helps. 🙂
Don’t do quick release. It sucks all the moisture out of meat. Do a natural release and they should be perfect.
Tried this recipe last night, followed it almost exactly, only had 1 1/2 lbs boneless ribs so sprinkled a littles less rub on and a little less broth, after measuring the dry ingredients per instructions, just put on what looked right.Cooked per instructions and came out perfect!! Will make again! Thank you for the recipe.
Thank you, Chris! Glad you enjoyed these ribs. We certainly do love them! 🙂
Just made this recipe tonight for dinner; went easily just like the recipe said. Was very tasty, tender and I will definetly make it again. Thank you.
I have 6lbs of bone in ribs…what amount of time do you suggest for cooking?
Trivet or no trivet?
I do not use the trivet for this recipe.
Do you use the metal stand?
Unbelievable!! This is the first recipe I tried with my instant pot. It was so easy. Never going to do ribs any other way
After the ribs were cooked I slathered them with bbq sauce
And put them in the oven under the broiler for 5 mins
They were great!
