Strawberry Lemonade recipe is perfectly easy to make from scratch! Bright, colorful, and flavorful, this pretty little drink is made in under 15 minutes and is so perfect for the warmer weather!
Strawberry Lemonade
Make it pink! Lemonade that is. Well, technically pink lemonade can be raspberry or even cranberry flavored. but this particular recipe is all about the strawberries! And in my opinion, strawberry lemonade is the best. It’s sweet, it’s tart, and that color? Talk about THE drink of spring and summer. This recipe is super simple and it’s all made from scratch. Toss fresh strawberries into a blender, add some freshly squeezed lemon juice, a touch of sugar, and a few cups of water and blend away. In just a few minutes you’ve got a beautiful, bright and refreshing beverage to get you through those long days in the sun. Plus with that pink color it’s perfect as a punch alternative at baby showers, bridal showers, or garden parties. Add sparkling water for a carbonated version or pour in your favorite light alcohol for a boozy brunch!

How To Make Strawberry Lemonade
- Blend. Start by adding the strawberries, 1 cup of lemon juice, and ½ a cup of sugar to a large blender. Blend until the strawberries have pureed.
- Taste. You can add more lemon juice or sugar (or both) if desired. Add in 3 cups of the cold water and blend again.
- Pour. Pour this mixture into a pitcher over ice. Stir in the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Mix until all is combined.
- Garnish. Serve with additional sliced strawberries and a few slices of lemon (or a wedge on the rim) as a garnish. Now sit back, sip, and relax in the shade.
Can This Lemonade Be Frozen?
It sure can. Make the lemonade as instructed all the way up until adding the ice and water. Essentially you’re freezing the strawberry lemonade concentrate. Pour it into a freezer safe container (a ziplock bag works great or even make ice cubes out if it), and freeze for up to 5 months. This is perfect when strawberry season is over but you still want that taste of summer. It’s also just an easy treat to keep on hand. You can even blend the frozen concentrate with water and ice cubes to make a lemonade slushie!
Storing Strawberry Lemonade
Store this strawberry lemonade in a pitcher with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If planning on storing, skip the ice in the pitcher and serve over ice instead.
Ingredients Notes for Strawberry Lemonade
- Strawberries – One pound with the stems and greenery removed. You can slice them in half or blend them whole. If you want, you can strain the strawberries after blending to remove any seeds.
- Lemon Juice – Freshly squeezed, about 1 ½ cups. 6-8 medium sized lemons should get you enough juice for one batch.
- Granulated Sugar – Depending on how sweet you want your lemonade, you can add or subtract the amount of sugar suggested. You can also use simple syrup if you already have some on hand for your morning coffee.
- Water – You want cold water specifically.
- Make it Bubbly – Use tonic water or club soda for a carbonated version. You can use half water/half bubbly water if you don’t want an overpowering level of carbonation.
- Make it Adult – For a spiked version, add strawberry vodka, light rum, or gin that has floral notes.
Enjoy!
