Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles is the best ramen noodle recipe made easy at home with a simple and super flavorful sauce! Make ramen at home even better!
I grew up eating ramen noodles boiled right along with that super salty packet of seasoning, probably like most of us did! As we get older, and realize we probably don’t need ALL that sodium, but we do need flavor and quick, budget-friendly recipes, we start wondering what else can I do what that packet of crunchy noodles?! While we’re at it, this Miso Ramen is absolutely out of this world and we also love this tasty Veggie Beef Ramen too!
Ramen Noodles:
Packets of ramen are actually super versatile because they simply don’t taste like much on their own! Ditch the spice packet that comes with the noodles. When you use it, it kinda feels like eating salt water, because you basically are! My Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles are one of my favorite ramen “hacks” because I can still take a product that is super duper easy on my budget, impossibly quick to make, and turn it into something amazing! The sauce for this recipe is full of garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and soy sauce! Seriously good flavor here, and the sauce only takes 3-5 minutes to make, so it will be done at the same time your noodles are! This recipe has become one of our most popular! How do you Make Ramen Better?
Simple! Like we talked about above, ditch the spice/salt packet that comes with the noodles and make your own sauce! The ingredients for this recipe are sesame oil, packaged ramen noodles, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. The sriracha can be added to your own taste.
You will start by cooking your noodles according to package directions. While they are cooking simply heat your sesame oil in a medium skillet and saute the garlic for one minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining sauce ingredients. Then, drain your ramen and toss them in the sauce!
You can then eat these noodles as are or taste them and see if you’d like more spice. If so, add a bit more sriracha until desired heat is reached. I happen to love sesame oil so I often drizzle more over the prepared noodles. Top these with chopped green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds!
Enjoy!

My family loved it! I would have never thought about making Ramen noodle recipes if my teenage son hadn’t asked for it. I told him the seasoning packets are filled with too much sodium, so I will need to find recipes. His response was “I prefer homemade with meat and vegetables.” The only thing I will do differently is add more ramen noodles. There wasn’t very much noodle for the three of us. I did add chicken for protein and next time I will add broccoli or some other vegetable.
Absolutely delicious! Planning on adding some stir fry vegetables or meat next time.
Can I add oyster sauce? Do you think that would be a good addition?
Sure, I think it would be great 🙂
Really delicious and easy. Thank you!
I LOVE making meals with ramen noodles and am really looking forward to making this! Can you leave the sriacha sauce out? I don’t like spicy food that much.
Yes, you can just leave it out 🙂
WONDERFUL RECIPES!!
i used avocado oil instead of sesame and used around 10 more cloves of garlic than suggested. I also substituted the soy sauce with coco aminos for a healtier version. The extra garlic and garlic powder I added kicked up the flavor. This recipe is great!
Made these and they were FABULOUS! I added extra sesame oil and topped it with green onions and sesame seeds! DELISH!
HolyMother this was amazing. I’m not a cook and this came out bomb ?. Took less than 10 min!!! Please post more 10 min recipes, lol. You’re a genius, thank you ?.
I’m looking forward to making this tonight. Can I make it and reheat it? Just trying to save some time before dinner
Yes, you can but it does taste best if it’s fresh 🙂
