Pizza Dip is a true crowd pleaser no matter the occasion! Bold marinara, tangy sour cream, cream cheese, a blend of melty cheeses, and of course pepperoni all come together to create everyone’s favorite food in dip form. Serve with some crusty garlic bread and watch it disappear!

Best Ever Pizza Dip
Pizza dip takes all the flavors and elements of a classic pepperoni pizza and turns it into an appetizer that will surely be a hit at any gathering. I always love a good twist on a traditional recipe and this dip is as easy as it is fun to eat. Serve it with garlic bread, breadsticks, pretzels, crackers. You could even serve it over a batch of french fries! While mine takes the form of a pepperoni pizza, you could customize this dip with Italian sausage, peppers, onions, black olives, even pineapple and ham to resemble your favorite go to pizza. The cream cheese and sour cream along with the marina provide a rich and creamy base to load up with cheese and toppings. It’s easy to travel with so this dip is great for game days, parties, and potlucks galore!

Can This Pizza Dip Be Made Ahead?
Yes! The beauty of this dip is that all the ingredients can easily be mixed and prepped up to 3 days before baking. Other than the marinara they’re all refrigerated items already and marinara can last a week or so after being opened in the fridge. I recommend prepping this no more than that 3 day timeframe just so things don’t get too soggy. When ready to serve just bake as directed and you’re good to go!
How To Make Pizza Dip
- Combine. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ⅓ cup of the marinara, ½ cup of mozzarella, half of the parmesan, the sour cream, garlic and onion powder, basil, and oregano. Stir until fully blended.
- Spread. Spread in an even layer in a baking dish. Pour the rest of the marinara over the cheese mixture and spread evenly over top.
- Sprinkle. Sprinkle the other half of the parmesan along with the rest of the mozzarella. Arrange pepperoni slices evenly on top.
- Bake. Bake for 20-25 minutes until everything is nice and bubbling.
Storing Leftovers for Later:
Leftover pizza dip can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results. Store any garlic bread or other dippers separately.
Ingredients Notes:
- Cream Cheese – Softened to room temperature so it’s easy to mix. I find that regular cream cheese is the creamiest, but you can use low-fat if preferred.
- Marinara Sauce – Any brand or flavor is great. I use whatever I have in the pantry for an easy fix!
- Mozzarella – I find that fresh mozzarella melts the best but use what you have.
- Parmesan – Fresh is my favorite but your favorite tub of grated parmesan works here.
- Sour Cream – I love the tangy, creamy flavor this adds to the dip! Full fat or low-fat are fine.
- Spices – Garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and dried oregano. You could throw in a little Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes for even more flavor if you’d like.
- Pepperoni – I used about 15 or so slices but use as many as you’d like. Who doesn’t love extra pepperoni?
- Optional – Parsley as a garnish along with any kind of garlic bread, breadsticks, crackers, or whatever you wish to dip into this dish!
Enjoy!
