Pepperoncini Dip
If you can’t find me at a party, just head to the snack table and check the dips… You’ll probably see me there with a chip in hand. And when it comes to party dips, I think this one might just be my best (or at least most addictive) one yet! It’s a little spicy, savory, creamy, cheesy, salty, all the things. Plus, it’s not a super common dip, so everyone at the party will be pleasantly surprised by it! It’s also so easy to make it’s almost funny. You essentially just toss everything in a baking dish, let it get gooey, and dig in. Perfect for Super Bowl Sunday or any other party you have planned!
Keep the party going with more easy dip recipes like Mississippi Sin Dip, Fiesta Ranch Dip, and Creamy Corn Dip.Â
Can I make it ahead of time?
Pepperoncini dip is best when it’s served immediately. However, you can prep it ahead so it’s easier to make when the party starts! Mix all of the dip ingredients together and spread them in the baking dish. Once you get to the point of baking, cover the dish and place it in the fridge. When you’re about ready to serve, remove it from the fridge, uncover, top with the remaining ingredients, bake, and you’re good to go!
How to Make Pepperoncini Dip
- Prepare. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Â
- Beat the ingredients. Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, pepperoncini juice, ranch, and seasonings together in a bowl.Â
- Add the rest of the ingredients. Fold in a cup and half of the cheese along with the bacon, peppers, French-fried onions, and green onions. Â
- Transfer to a baking dish. Spread the dip in an even layer in an 8-inch baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and fried onions.Â
- Bake. Bake for 20 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the cheese is bubbly and gooey!
- Enjoy! Serve with your favorite dipper – I like potato chips! Top off the dip with whole and sliced pepperoncini peppers, bacon, fried onions, and sliced green onions.

Ingredient Notes
- Cream Cheese – It needs to be softened to room temperature so it mixes well with the other ingredients.Â
- Sour Cream – This and the cream cheese should both be regular, not low-fat. While you can use low-fat, it won’t be nearly as creamy or rich.Â
- Pepperoncini Juice – This is the key ingredient! Don’t swap it with anything else.Â
- Ranch Seasoning – Any brand works. Make sure you’re using the seasoning here, not the dressing.Â
- Cajun Seasoning – Some brands are spicier than others, so be picky!Â
- Garlic Powder – I find that one teaspoon adds a subtle garlicky flavor while also balancing the other bold ingredients. You can add more, but be warned – garlic powder tends to overpower whatever it’s added too if you’re heavy handed with it.Â
- Cheddar Cheese – Swap this with Pepper Jack if you want a spicy kick.Â
- Bacon – It needs to be chopped and cooked prior to making the dip. Try to make sure it’s been fully patted dry of excess grease.Â
- Pepperoncini Peppers – Make sure to reserve some for garnishing!Â
- French-Fried Onions – Everyone says this is their favorite part of the whole dip. They’re so salty and crunchy! I don’t recommend swapping them with anything else if you can help it.Â
- Green Onions – These add the best pop of fresh flavor on top of the dip. Since everything else is creamy, cheesy, spicy, and salty, the freshness is necessary for a well-balanced bite.Â

Enjoy!
