As we near closer and closer to the holidays, and baking is on my mind – I like to pull out this recipe to share with my family.

Blondies are buttery, dense and have a delicious brown sugar/vanilla flavor, similar to butterscotch.

The smell of these baking fills my home, bringing everyone together. Even if it IS to crowd around the oven waiting for these to be done!  This blondie recipe is simple to make, using just 7 ingredients and one bowl. I’d call that a winner!

How can you tell when they’re cooked?
A toothpick inserted should come out mostly dry. Don’t worry if the middle is a little soft – they’ll firm up as they cool.

Such an easy recipe and so wonderful! Glad I read the comments beforehand. Used a 9×13 for 30 minutes. Topped with chocolate chips and pecans. Absolutely delicious 😋!
Thank you for an awesome recipe!!

I just made them. They’re delicious, but I had to bake them for about 55-60 minute in a 9X9 pan. I’m thinking that a 9×13 pan for 30 minutes would work better. I added 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans to the batter at my daughter’s request. I think that made them extra yummy!

    1. Yes I’ve made them twice now.. first time in a 9×9 had to bake it 60 minutes… second time I used 9×13 and 30 minutes was perfect

      1. I wish I would have read comments sooner. I wanted to make in 9×13 glass pan and so I doubled it! I’m sure it’ll be at least an hour!

They smell great, taste great – but as other commenters have noted, they were not ready in 30 minutes. The center was completely gooey and sticky still at 30 minutes. Ended up leaving them in almost 20 min more.

It wasn’t gooey for me becauseI use a. maytag oven, and it bakes quickly, it was ready in 20 minutes for me, and yes, it smelled/tasted delicious.

My whole family loves them. I am just an 11 year old and the first time I baked these was with my little cousin and he loved it. They were so easy and delicious!

I like the flavor, but it took a long time in the oven. I plan to try baking them on a jelly roll pan next time

I made this recipe but subbed out gluten free flour (1:1), as my kid can’t eat gluten. I also added black raspberries and white chocolate. It was amazing, although cooking time was not accurate – I needed to bake this a lot longer than noted.

    Thank you!

The taste was delicious, however they were not ready at 30 minutes. Still very batter-y in the middle. Cooked another 25 minutes and they were much better.

    1. Thank you! I wish I read your comment earlier. The toothpick came out clean after 30 minutes. I cooled them, cut and have gooey middles. I’m attempting to bake again. Hoping this will work.🤞🏼

  8. I would try using baking soda not baking powder the next time. The texture turned out more like a cookie than a brownie without chocolate.

  9. This is a great recipe! I add in about 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips and it takes this up a notch. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream!
