If you’re a pickle lover like me, you’re going to obsess over these Cajun Dill Pickle Pretzels! Salty pretzels, tangy dill, ranch seasoning, and cajun spice… The only way to describe these pretzels is addictive. Try to eat just one – I dare you!

Cajun Dill Pickle Pretzels
Need a new snack to treat yourself to? Or, maybe you just want to make your kid’s lunch box more exciting. Perhaps you have some guests coming over for cocktails and you really want to impress. Whatever the reason, these cajun dill pickle pretzels NEVER disappoint! A bag of mini pretzels get coated in some oil and bold seasonings (cajun, ranch, dill, and red pepper flakes). Then, they just have to sit and absorb all that flavor while you go about your day. It’s that easy. The only hard part is waiting for them to really develop those flavors so you can dig in!

How long do they need to sit?
4 hours is the minimum, but 8 to 12 hours gives the pretzels an even deeper flavor. I usually let them sit overnight so they’re ready to serve the next day. Be sure to give them a good final toss before serving just in case any of the oil settled at the bottom of the bag!
How to Make Cajun Dill Pickle Pretzels
- Prep the pretzels. Add the pretzels to a large ziplock bag.
- Whisk the oil and seasonings. Whisk together the oil, cajun seasoning, dried dill, ranch seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Coat the pretzels. Pour the oil over the pretzels, seal the bag, and toss the pretzels until they’re evenly coated.
- Let the pretzels sit. Let them sit for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours, tossing them every so often.

Storing
Store your pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Keep them in a cool, dry spot so they stay crunchy. Do not refrigerate them! Moisture can make the pretzels soften faster.
Ingredient Notes
- Pretzels – Mini twists are my favorite to use because they have lots of little curves for the seasoning to cling to!
- Oil – Vegetable or canola oil both work well. Just make sure that you use a neutral oil.
- Cajun Seasoning – Ranch seasoning and pretzels already bring plenty of salt, so no-salt cajun seasoning keeps the snack from tasting too salty.
- Dried Dill – Want to make them even more pickle-forward? Add a little dill pickle seasoning if you have it. Start small, since many pickle seasonings are salty!
- Ranch Seasoning Powder – Swap this with spicy ranch seasoning if you want even more of a kick.
- Red Pepper Flakes – Add more or less to control how spicy the pretzels are. I just like a little bit!
Variations to Try
- Make it smoky. Add a little smoked paprika to the oil mixture for a smoky cajun flavor. Or, add just a few dashes of liquid smoke.
- Add garlic powder. Stir in a little bit of garlic powder for a garlic-ranch flavor.
- Make a snack mix. Toss the cajun dill pickle pretzels with cheese crackers and oyster crackers for a tasty snack mix!
- Add parmesan. Stir in a few sprinkles of finely grated parmesan after the pretzels have finished sitting for a cheesy final touch.

Enjoy!
