How Long Should You Air Fry Frozen French Fries?

These fries cook to crispy perfection cooking once at 7 minutes, then tossing and cooking again for 7-8 minutes! Air fryer fries are the best ever! No more waiting ages to bake fries in the oven only for them to turn out disappointingly soggy and mediocre in comparison to the real deal. With this super easy method, air fryer french fries come out perfectly crispy every time with none of the hassle. Just spray with a little cooking spray, add salt or seasoning to taste, and air fry away. This is really the only way I ever heat up frozen fries anymore. Plus, you get the benefit of a quick, cheap, and easy snack or side with a million ways to customize. This might be my favorite air fryer “recipe” to date! Be sure to try our Air Fryer Chicken Legs also, they’re my fave!

Well now that you’ve got a steaming batch of crispy french fries, you need something to go with them! Try these quick and easy Sloppy Joes or get adventurous and make a batch of Grilled Taco Burgers for dinner!

How Can I Dress Up My French Fries?

There are a million variations when it comes to french fries. Cajun, ranch, or Italian seasoning blends are just a few classic go-to options. I love to throw on some salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and parmesan cheese then I toss to coat. It gives such a mouthwatering combo of bold flavors. You could get a little spicy with some cayenne and tajin for a southwest blend. Then of course you can’t forget the plethora of sauces for dipping! Garlic aioli is to die for. Honey mustard on waffle fries can’t be beat. Or maybe a horseradish and sweet potato fry combo?

How To Make Air Fryer Frozen French Fries

  • Preheat. Set your air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat.
  • Spray. Use your preferred non-stick cooking spray and lightly coat the air fryer basket. Toss in the frozen french fries and shake to get an even layer. Careful not to overcrowd your basket.
  • Cook. Cook the french fries for about 7 minutes.
  • Spray again. Spray the fries with cooking spray, toss, and spray them once more (now would also be a good time to add seasoning if you are using any).
  • Cook again. Cook for another 7-8 minutes or until they reach your desired crisp level. Serve and enjoy!

Storing Air Fryer Frozen French Fries

So ideally, as with any and all french fries, these should be served right away and eaten while hot and crispy. However, you can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just make sure they’re fully cooled to room temperature prior to storing. Otherwise, condensation will form in the container (which is a breeding ground for bacteria) AND your fries will get soggy. Reheat them in the air fryer at 350°F for about 3-4 minutes and they’ll be good as new!

Ingredients Notes for Air Fryer Frozen French Fries
