Instant Pot Country Style Ribs make a quick and easy weeknight dinner!

Yes, you guys!  Back in action with the Instant Pot!

After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.

We’re also back in action with back to school.

I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.

I’m in the “not” category this year.  Summer just went by way too fast!

Can they just go back in October or something?  Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.

It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.

Right??  Right.

instant pot ribs

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.

I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!

I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.

Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!

Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out.  Mine were bone out.  But, either one will work just fine!

I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.

Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!

The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.

You slather the dry rub on.  Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot.  Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce.  Then, let it do it’s thing!

These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

    1. Hi, Stephanie! I prefer to use the slow/natural release method for meat. I do find it makes a difference in the texture, and the meat is much more tender this way.

Made these in a stove top pressure cooker. Followed the recipe fairly closely and it turned out fantastic. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

    1. Amanda, this recipe calls for 3/4 cup of beef broth and 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce. Please refer to the recipe card above for the full recipe and instructions 🙂

    2. Three- quarters cup beef broth and one-half homemade barbecue sauce. Thirty minutes cook time and 15 minutes release. Best ribs ever. No other way to cook them.

I made the country ribs last night the first time in my Instant Pot. Heavenly. tender, fell off the bones> So glad I bought the IP. Best small appliance! Thanks for the recipe. Love your site.

  3. YUM just made these and they were awesome. The only thing I did different was coat them with some bbq sauce and charr them on the grill for a few minutes to get some grill marks. It was so good as the fat gets cooked out! But the flavor.

    1. Honestly, I don’t think you’d need to worry about them being overcooked because there is plenty of liquid. If you are worried about it, I would say maybe go down to about 35 minutes. 🙂

  4. Question! In the recipe says press manual but in the video I believe the meat button was pressed. Is there a difference? I would like to make these tonight.

      1. How long would you do for 4lbs? I know I’ll need to add more liquid and sauce but not sure about the time.

  5. I have not gotten on the Instant Pot train yet, but seeing pictures like this sure make me think about it.

My mom got me one for Christmas. I was leary, at first, never having used a pressure cooker. But there are so many tutorials on YouTube and Google recipes, you can find all the standards – from 3 minute tuna casserole to 15 minutes frozen chicken and rice. Spaghetti, meatloaf, baked potatoes… I encourage you to try it!

      1. I often cook ribs in a slow cooker. Just let them cook all day 8ish hours. I usually broil for a few minutes after they are done to get the crispy edges. Delicious

  6. Ribs, covered in a thick, sticky BBQ sauce, are one of my weaknesses – once I start eating it’s hard to stop. Who knew you could cook them in an Instant pot! You learn something everyday. Looks delicious!
