Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

There’s really nothing like a good serving of corn on the cob! Since my kids are big fans of using their hands to eat and I’m a big fan of actually getting them to eat their veggies, it’s safe to say that this recipe has become a fixture in our weeknight routine. It also helps that buttery, perfectly cooked corn on the cob compliments just about any entree you plate it next to! What really makes this air fryer method stand out above all others is that it’s so unbelievably quick, easy, and mess-free. And while we’re cutting corners with this process, don’t worry – the corn itself turns out perfectly cooked every single time. Oh, and the melted Cajun butter that smothers it? It’ll definitely make your mouth water!

Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer with corn?

Sure thing! Wrapping up corn on the cob with some aluminum foil is a great way to really seal in the flavor and steam the corn. The only downside to this method is that the corn will have more of a steamed consistency, but it can also be a plus if you like that texture better!

How to Make Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

  • Prepare the corn. Brush the olive oil all over each ear of corn. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook the corn. Air fry the corn for about 8-12 minutes. Note that the cook time is up to your personal preference! A shorter cook time results in juicier kernels while a few extra minutes gives the corn a more crispy, caramelized texture.
  • Cool. Once the corn’s cooked, give it a few minutes to cool off at room temperature.
  • Make the butter. While the corn’s cooling off, stir together softened butter with Cajun seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Brush and serve. Brush the corn on the cob generously with the garlicky Cajun butter and serve right away!

Storing Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

You can store your leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I like to let the corn fully cool to room temperature prior to storing, that way no condensation forms in the container. To reheat, feel free to use the air fryer again! Just don’t walk away or forget about it – the corn will only need a minute or two to reheat.

Ingredient Notes for Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

  • Corn on the Cob – It’ll need to be shucked and washed prior to cooking.
  • Olive Oil – Feel free to use avocado oil instead if preferred.
  • Salt and Pepper – Keep in mind that if you’re using the Cajun butter to serve your corn on the cob, you may want to go light on the salt and pepper.
  • Butter – I like to use unsalted butter. That way, I can add more salt if needed and better control the amount of sodium.
  • Cajun Seasoning – Any brand will work perfectly! I’ve yet to meet a Cajun seasoning that I didn’t like. If you want to spice it up even more, mix some cayenne powder or red pepper flakes into the seasoning.
  • Garlic Powder – Feel free to swap this with some freshly minced garlic if desired.
