Hey everyone! So, this snack mix, it’s the absolute perfect combination of all things salty and sweet! It might sound a little odd with bugles, and cereal. But it’s not, promise I wouldn’t lead you wrong!
I’ll be honest. Not a huge candy corn girl. I loved it as a kid, but now it’s just not my thing.
BUT, then I was just shopping at Target, minding my own business when I see nothing other but apple mix candy corn staring me down from the Halloween candy aisle! Obviously, I had to get some and see what it was all about.
Well, I’m pretty much in love. I could and did eat by the handful for a few days. I liked it so much that I wanted to do something with it!
Snack mix seemed perfect, everyone loves it. It’s quick and easy to make, and portable for all of those fall parties that are going on!
Let’s talk about some tips for success when making this snack mix!
-
You’ll need a GIANT bowl to mix all of the goodies together with the brown sugar coating. If you don’t have a bowl big enough, you can use two, or simply mix everything together on the baking sheet.
-
I am able to get this all onto one very large baking sheet, you may need to use two. If it’s not in a single layer, that’s ok because you’ll be stirring it during cooking.
-
Make sure you don’t add the candy corn in until after the snack mix has come out of the oven and cooled. If you do, it will melt!
-
I like to line my pans with parchment paper for easy clean up and less chance of sticking. You can also use foil coated with non stick cooking spray if you’d like.
Enjoy this easy recipe, and you can find a link to the apple mix candy corn below, in case you can’t find it in your local store!

I accidentally bought Mellowcreme Carmel Apples, (there like the pumpkins) which is why it didn’t look like there was enough candy corn. But, I already have autumn mix candy corn so I’ll add it if I need too . This is SO good, it’s my crack!
I can’t find the Apple mix candy corn either. Have you made the with anything else? I don’t think they make that candy corn any longer 🙁
Hi! You can use regular candy corn in a pinch. If you do a Google search, I believe you an order caramel apple candy corn, and I can say that our local grocery stores here have caramel apple candy corn right now too, so you might be able to find that 🙂
I made it using regular candy corn and then added dried apple chips crumbled up. Was delicious!
So you add the candy corn mixture once the cereal mixture is cooled down ff
Correct!
I can’t find the special candy corn mix. Any suggestions?
Did you try thing with anything else? I can’t find that candy corn and I already bought the other ingredients. The party is coming up in a few days
I used the pumpkin pie candy corn and the caramel candy corn. Turned out great! I feel like the 17oz box of apple Jack’s was alot. The 12oz one would be plenty. Enjoy!
I hate pretzels. What would you recommend replacing them with??
Hi, Christy! You could try Chex cereal instead 🙂
I love that this is sweet AND salty – so many holiday mixes are just super sweet. This looks delicious!
