Sesame Garlic Steak Lettuce Wraps are savory and citrusy with a bit of heat drizzled on top! Fresh lettuce, juicy steak, colorful veggies, and a creamy spicy mayo come together in under half an hour. Perfect for a light lunch or dinner!
1Head Butter Lettucethe largest leaves removed, washed, and dried
1/2CupShredded Carrots
2Green Onionsthinly sliced
Instructions
Blend the sesame seeds in a blender until powdery and broken up, then add to a large bowl.
Mix with the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and garlic, then toss in the steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak in 3-4 batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until caramelized and brown. (Do not overcrowd the pan, or the steak will not sear well.)
Remove each batch and set aside on a plate, then continue cooking in batches.
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth.
Fill each lettuce leaf with the cooked steak, then drizzle with the sriracha mayo and top with shredded carrots, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
NOTE: If you wish you can skip the blending of the sesame seeds and adding to the marinade, we love it because it adds more sesame flavor but it is optional if you're short on time!
