Sweet, tangy, savory, this Honey Garlic Chicken is a delicious dinner that really has it all. Crispy chicken thighs are marinated in a blend of spices, baked to perfection, and glazed with a homemade honey garlic sauce. Pair with some simple white rice and dinner is served!
Pat the chicken thighs dry, then rub with oil, Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, chicken seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Cover and marinate in the fridge for about an hour.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and place the chicken thighs skin-side up on a baking sheet or dish.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, then turn the chicken and bake for another 10 minutes.
In the meantime, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice, let it come to a simmer and continue simmering for 5-10 minutes or until thickened into a glaze.
Flip the chicken so it's skin side up, brush the glaze over the skin side of the chicken, then return to the oven for 10-15 more minutes or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Optional: broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until it’s to your liking.
Serve hot with rice with extra glaze spooned over and garnished with freshly sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
