Wine Apple Cider Cocktail is the perfect warming, easy to make drink for fall and winter! Mulled white or red wine with cider, cinnamon whiskey, and orange!
Combine the wine, cider, whiskey, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a large pot and whisk to combine.
Place the pot on the stove over medium heat and add the sliced apples and oranges.
Bring the mixture to a light simmer and continue simmering for 20 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat.
Ladle the wine into mugs and garnish with extra cinnamon sticks, sliced apples, and oranges as desired.

Notes
NOTE ABOUT WINE: Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc are what I tested this recipe with. You can use your favorite wine instead. NOTE ABOUT SWEETNER: The maple syrup adds a very light sweet taste and great flavor, but can be left out. You can also use honey instead.NOTE ABOUT WHISKEY: I used Fireball, you can use any brand of cinnamon whiskey. If you wish, you can use plain whiskey/bourbon, or an apple or vanilla flavored whiskey instead.
