1teaspoonMinced Ginger or ¼ teaspoon Ginger Powder
¼teaspoonRed Pepper Flakes
6CupsLow Sodium Vegetable or Chicken Broth
2TablespoonsLow Sodium Soy Sauce
30-40Frozen Mini Wontons
For serving: Sesame OilSriracha, Green Onion
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-low heat.
Add the white parts of the green onions, mushrooms, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes until the mushrooms are soft.
Add the broth, soy sauce, and slaw to the pot and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
Once simmering, add the wontons and cook for 3-5 minutes until the wontons are cooked through.
Serve immediately with the rest of the sliced green onion, sriracha, sesame oil and extra soy sauce as desired.
NOTE ON WONTONS: You can use any kind of frozen wontons/dumplings/potstickers for this recipe. I use mini chicken or pork. If your dumplings are large, use about 20-25 if they are mini use 30-40.NOTE ON VEGETABLES: You can leave the slaw mix or mushrooms out if you don't like them in your soup!
