This delightful Cinnamon Orange Spritzer features bubbly Prosecco, tangy orange juice and homemade cinnamon simple syrup. It’s a smooth, sweet, and spiced cocktail that’s equal parts impressive to serve and easy to make!
Whisk the sugar and water together in a small saucepan then add the cinnamon sticks and stir.
Bring it to a boil over high heat then turn the heat down to the lowest setting and let it simmer for 15 minutes or up to an hour for maximum flavor.
Remove the cinnamon sticks from the pan and set the syrup aside to cool for 30 minutes to an hour.
Add some ice to 2 glasses and pour half of the orange juice and prosecco into each of the glasses.
Pour ½-1 ounce of the simple syrup into each glass and stir. Taste and add more syrup If needed.
Garnish with ribboned orange peel, thinly sliced orange, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and cinnamon sticks if desired.
Optional: To get a smokey cinnamon scent and to make your drink look a bit more fancy, burn the end of a cinnamon stick that won’t be in your drink with a lighter until it starts to smoke then place it in your drink and enjoy!
