Instant Pot Split Pea Soup is the quickest way to get this classic soup on the table without skimping on the flavor! It is hearty, healthy and perfect for leftovers.
Turn pressure cooker to the "sauté" setting. Add butter, onion and carrots into the pot. Saute until vegetables are softened and the onions are translucent. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the bay leaves, split peas, chicken stock, water and ham.
Cover the pressure cooker with the lid. Make sure the vent is sealed. Choose the “manual” setting and cook the soup on high for 25 minutes.
Allow the pressure to naturally release for 10-15 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve while piping hot!
