Oatmeal Crumble Baked Apples
Baked Apples are so easy to make and stuffed with a mouthwatering brown sugar, cinnamon, oatmeal crumble filling! The perfect breakfast or dessert treat for fall!

Gala Apples*

Old Fashioned Oats

Cup
All Purpose Flour

Brown Sugar
1/3
Cup
Granulated Sugar

teaspoon
Ground Cinnamon
1/4
teaspoon
Ground Nutmeg
A pinch of salt

Butter
at room temperature
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash and cut the tops of the apples off.
Using a melon baller or a spoon, remove the insides of the apples, leaving only a small, 1/2 inch border.
In a large bowl, mix the oats, flour, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together.
Then, using your hands or a fork, mix in the butter until the mixture forms a light crumble.
Fill the apples with the crumble to the top and slightly overflowing.
Place them in a 9x13 baking dish, or a smaller pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the apples are soft on the outside and are a light golden color.
Serve with whip topping, ice cream, and caramel sauce.

NOTE ON APPLES: I use Gala, you can also use Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Jonathan (Jonagold) apples.
