An easy to make and refreshingly sweet smoothie! These tropical smoothies are great for breakfast, healthy, and packed full of mango, pineapple, and banana flavor!
This thick and creamy smoothie was just the refreshment that my body needed when we got back from our big trip to Vegas. We ate all kinds of deliciously rich food on our mini vacation, and I was craving something a bit healthier as soon as we got home. Tropical breakfast smoothies for the win!
I love that these smoothies really are a nice healthy breakfast or snack, but they taste like a sweet treat! My kids and I are not big breakfast eaters during the week either, so smoothies always come in handy.
If you have taken a peek at my Banana Cherry Smoothie post, I really go over how to make a smoothie. It’s so simple, and you can change up flavors any way your heart desires.
I like to add a little vanilla extract to these, I think it brings out those tropical flavors of pineapple, banana, and mango really nicely.
Let’s talk a bit about these tropical smoothies and how you can either make them just like I do, or change them up to suit your taste.
I use frozen pineapple and mango. My bananas are fresh but I wait until they have a little bit of brown color to the peel. Ripe bananas will give you a much sweeter smoothie, without having to add any sugar! If you are not a fan of banana in your smoothie, you can just leave them out. Just add more mango and pineapple to taste.
My favorite yogurt for a smoothie is always Greek. It makes your smoothies extra thick and creamy! You can truly use any kind of yogurt that you like. I also love regular vanilla yogurt, mango, or lemon are also super tasty.
Let’s talk milk. Again, any kind will do! You can use almond milk, whole milk, skim, cashew milk. Really, the sky is the limit. Use what you like so that you love your breakfast!
After you’ve chosen your favorite milk and yogurt, simply blend everything right up together. You can always add in extra milk if you don’t like your smoothies as thick.
Enjoy!

- 1 Large Banana, Sliced
- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 1 Cup Milk

I really enjoyed making your tropical breakfast smoothie. I used skimmed milk and non-fat yoghurt instead of Greek yoghurt. I used also half of banana and it tasted delicious. I love how it’s just the right consistency to drink. Not to thick and not to skinny either. Because I normally am not a real fan of mango and banana in smoothies I was a bit sceptical but at the end I couldn’t be more satisfied. This smoothie gives me just the right amount of freshness and energy to start my day. I am really excited to try some of your other recipes!
Such a yummy breakfast! So flavorful smoothie!
I will be dreaming of the tropics with this!
