Yes, you guys! Â Back in action with the Instant Pot!
After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.
We’re also back in action with back to school.
I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.
I’m in the “not” category this year. Â Summer just went by way too fast!
Can they just go back in October or something? Â Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.
It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.
Right?? Â Right.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.
I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!
I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.
Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!
Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out. Â Mine were bone out. Â But, either one will work just fine!
I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.
Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!
The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.
You slather the dry rub on. Â Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot. Â Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce. Â Then, let it do it’s thing!
These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

I put the rub on boneless country style pork ribs and let them sit overnight in a sealed plastic container. I think that helped the flavor penetrate better. On my Instant Pot Lux, when you select Manual mode, you can’t change the pressure (recipe says high). Next time, I think I will try the Meat/Stew option and see what happens. With 45 minutes on Manual, they were falling apart tender.
These ribs were fabulous! Thank you so much for the recipe. I’m on the Keto diet, so I omitted the brown sugar and the bbq sauce. They didnt need either one, in my opinion. So very tender and great flavor. Thanks again!
Could you make this with rice in the pot with the meat?
Hi, I’m trying this recipe tonight, but I just have Teriyaki sauce instead of BBQ, it will work?
Thanks!
We don’t like bbq sauce on our ribs. Will they be ok without?
Yep, they’ll be fine 🙂
The only BBQ sauce we used was the first ½ cup that was poured over. We didn’t add any at the table, because the flavor of the rub was too good to cover up.
We like to use tomato soup with the beef broth for something different from the bbq sauce. My husband uses that as a gravy to pour over his rice.
So delicious! And tender! This is definitely worth having again and again
My opinion: 45 minutes and you’ll barely be able to pick them up.
I did it for 25 and was lucky to get them out in one piece. For your first time do them at 20 min MAX. My next time will be 15 minutes.
The flavour is fantastic. Just too mushy for my tastes.
Love this recipe! My ONLY recipe for country style pork ribs. It’s perfect, easy, and delicious. Have made it at least half a dozen times.
Hi I made this last night and they turned out great! The only thing is that it took over two hours to make (from the beginning to end). The recipe states that the natural release should take about 15-20 mins, but it took an hour and a half for the float valve to go down. Was I suppose to do natural release for 20 mins and then quick release?
We only have one main grocery store and they only sell the boneless country style ribs when they have a sale once or twice every couple of months. I stock up then and freeze until ready to cook. They are always $1.49/lb, making this the most economical cut of meat I know of.
