Instant Pot Country Style Ribs – These Instant Pot Country Style Ribs are so tender and flavorful! Â They start with a simple dry rub, are smothered in bbq sauce, and cooked up in your Instant Pot pressure cooker for a delicious and easy meal!
Yes, you guys! Â Back in action with the Instant Pot!
After I used it to make the Instant Pot Spaghetti, I couldn’t wait to put more delicious foods up in this bad boy.
We’re also back in action with back to school.
I feel like moms and dads everywhere are torn on whether they’re happy to have their kids head back to class or not.
I’m in the “not” category this year. Â Summer just went by way too fast!
Can they just go back in October or something? Â Because, I mean, it IS really warm here still.
It should be illegal to send people back to school when it’s still warm enough out to go swimming.
Right?? Â Right.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled food programming here.
I decided to go with country style pork ribs because they are so very meaty!
I do like baby back ribs as well, but I’ve definitely bought them, then been disappointed at the measly amount of meat I got out of it.
Using country style ribs ensures that everybody leaves the table satisfied!
Depending on your grocery store, sometimes these ribs are sold bone in, and sometimes bone out. Â Mine were bone out. Â But, either one will work just fine!
I love how easy these are and that I can have some tasty BBQ ribs on the table in about an hour.
Yes, I said an hour, but pretty much all of that time is hands off for you because the ribs are cooking to super tender perfection in the Instant Pot!
The dry rub for these babies is made up of spices that you most likely already have at home.
You slather the dry rub on. Â Get some beef broth in the bottom of your Instant Pot. Â Put the ribs in and pour on your favorite BBQ sauce. Â Then, let it do it’s thing!
These boneless pork ribs will melt in your mouth, and become a new family favorite!

Hi Y’all-this will be my 7th meal made with our new Instant Pot Duo/6Qt. and I was wondering if I could substitute Apple Cider since we only have Chicken Broth…ALSO-Would Browning the Country Style Boneless Pork Ribs first on Saute like Instant Pot Cookbook says for Kalua Pork or is it better Not to Brown the Meat? THANKS!!
Huge hit!!!! So tender and full of flavor!! Definitely making again!!
Making these tonight! Cant wait!!!
This is a keeper. I decided at the last minute that pork bone in country ribs would compliment the left over pinto beans and cornbread. I followed the recipe to the letter. I love the rub. Will use it on other meats. I didn’t have sticky bbq sauce we prefer a thinner locally made brand. It worked great. I popped them on a baking sheet after cooking added extra sauce and grilled them in the oven for about 10 mins. Perfect. Thank you
I made this recipe last night, but I accidentally got beef country style ribs instead of pork. The beef was excellent – used the same spices, cook time, etc. My daughter and husband both had seconds. (Thirds actually, for him!) Next time I’ll try it with the pork.
Have you tried this using the slow cooker part of the pressure cooker? Just wondering how long to cook it that way.
I usually make mine in the slow cooker and forgot to put them in this morning so now it’s dinner time and I’m trying this method in the Instant Pot instead. So, yes, I would imagine you can use the slow cooker part of the pressure cooker instead. In my crock pot I do 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low with no sauce and then add sauce about an hour before serving (but have also done sauce the entire time with the same result – just a little more burnt and harder to clean).
Should ribs be frozen or thawed first?
Either way is just fine! 🙂
Can I lay the ribs in the steamer basket or do they need to sit in the broth to cook?
I made these tonight and they were delicious! Thank you!
I want to double the ribs to 6lbs, will I need to change the cooking time or change the amount of liquid?
If you double the ribs, I would also double the liquid. As far as cooking time goes, I’ve never tried 6 pounds of ribs so I can’t be 100 percent sure. I would try starting with the time as listed, then add more if necessary.
