Frosty Orange Margaritas – A sweet change up to traditional margaritas!  These orange margaritas are super quick and easy to make, perfectly sweet with fresh orange juice, and amazingly refreshing.

orange margaritas

Ok, ok, I know it’s only Wednesday – BUT it is Cinco de mayo week, so that means we can have margaritas whenever we darn well please, right?!

What’s your go-to flavor for Margaritas?  When I go to a restaurant, I tend to stick with lime, on the rocks, extra salt on the rim.

When I’m not at home it seems like the frozen margaritas are almost too frozen and I get brain freeze a bajillion times before I get through the thing!

Plus, restaurant style frozen margaritas are a tad too sweet for my taste.

But, at home I want to mix it up – I can control how “frozen” my marg is and the level of sweetness.

Because I get to control the level of frozen for these babies – I like to call them “FROSTY” margaritas.

I use just enough ice that it gives me a nicely chilled beverage, but it isn’t ridiculously icy and thick.

If you like your margaritas really frozen, just pop more ice in!

These can also easily be stirred or shaken together and served over ice, if that’s yo thang.

So, I love a good margarita and I definitely prefer citrus – why not change it up and go with orange?

I’m glad I did because it’s quite honestly the most refreshing margarita I’ve ever had in my life.

These will be following me around all summer long, guaranteed!

This recipe is also super simple, which I love.  I’m not into complicated cocktails, guys!

Only a handful of ingredients here, blend it all up, and enjoy!

I like salt on the rim of my glass, but this is just as tasty with sugar.

The amounts that you see in the printable recipe makes two margaritas.

So, obviously I suggest doubling the batch – you’ll definitely want more than one of these, trust me!
